this is a very thoughtful and very tough read. please tread carefully with the subject matter, and if you're a hal jordan fan, you might want to skip it due to events of his canon story that've thankfully been forgotten and retconned out of existence, but for the purposes of this fic is very prominent. the epistolary style is very smartly structured, and the author doesn't pull any punches with the characterization despite this subject, which really adds a lot of weight to this. very heavy read but very worth it.

you might need some background knowledge on the latter half of batgirl (2000) but otherwise, this is a very sweet and considerate read about cass and her friendships, how she's reconnected with steph post-deathstroke bullshit and also post-actual death shit for steph, and how she wants to reconnect with another old friend, even/especially after everything that happened. it's very heartwarming and has a lot of thought put into it about cass and her relationships

mfw this fic is 2 years younger than me. ANYWAY this is a sweet read about a moment in the middle of cass traveling to sort of find herself - in this fic, she's with clark and lois, and her interactions with them are absolutely golden. not a lot happens but as a story telling of a step in a journey for cass, it kind of does a lot for cass with the dialogue alone, i feel
